As a Stoma Nurse Specialist you'll work for a fabulously friendly company across Durham and Darlington, delivering high quality patient care and the stoma home delivery service.
 

• This is a maternity cover contract, starting Summer 2020 and lasting up to 12 months.
• You will mainly support patients and colorectal nurses in hospitals by delivering high quality, evidence-based care to patients who have or may require the formation of a stoma.
• In addition, you will provide expert advice and education for colorectal nurses in the hospital and to Community Nurses and District Nurses. As a friendly, knowledgeable specialist, you will help to improve the quality of care delivered via supportive reviews and audits.
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8.00 am - 4.00 pm, with no unsociable hours!

REQUIREMENTS

• NMC Registered Nurse with at least two years post registration expertise in stoma, ostomy, colorectal or faecal / bowel management patient care, probably as a Colorectal Nurse, Community Nurse or District Nurse.
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to positively influence others. Able to manage own diary and work autonomously (following training). Able to understand and summarise data and plan a course of action. Previous experience as a Nurse Advisor would be useful however full training will be provided.
• You will ideally be based in or close to Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Stockton on Tees, Durham, Newcastle, Sunderland, Washington, etc.

PACKAGE
